Smallett

Sunday morning service was opened with the band playing some good old time hymns. Then congregational hymns were sung while greeting and welcoming everyone. Little Mister Lucas Hamby was introduced to everyone.

I sang the special then Brother Roberts brought the message from I John 4:8, “ Greatest Work.”

Those visiting in our home this week were Bevy Moore, Donna Bannister, Becky Carter, Cynthia Baughman, Pauline Okhuysen, Kathleen Deatherage, Kim Cordray, Randy and Tabitha Burton and Randy’s brother and sister-in-law.

Those having lunch in the home of Nora Hunsaker and Lee Williams were Delmar and Margaret Rosseau, Vern, Kathleen and Chris Deatherage, Kim Cordray, Becky Carter and Synthia Baughman. We all enjoyed beans, fried potatoes, homemade lightbread and blueberry cobbler….yummmm.

We have been enjoying this cool weather, but, we sure could use a little moisture. It looks like we might be going to have to do the rain dance. At least the air conditioners should be getting a little rest for awhile.

We hope Stacie Hamby’s ear is doing better now.

We see that the Fall Fox Trotter’s show is in full swing. We hope they all have a good experience while here in our area.

Until next week remember to enjoy life and be thankful for good health.
