We began our Lord’s Day service by standing and reading from Jeremiah 31. Prayer requests were given. Doyle Humbyrd prayed.
Following the singing, happy birthday was sung to Josh, Israel and Jesse Dalton.
Stan Humbyrd prayed the offertory prayer as he and Brad Siler received our Lord’s tithes and offerings with LeaAnn Crum at the piano.
Pastor Neal read from Proverbs 18:10, the name of the Lord is a strong tower; the righteous run to it and are safe.
Stan Humbyrd led us in songs with LeaAnn Crum at the piano.
Pastor Neal prayed the pastoral prayer and said, “Today we look back to 9-11. Let us remember to pray for the families and our nation”. He gave us a reminder to go back to remembering God is our Lord and Savior. He then shared about his trip to New York one week after 9-11. Flying in, he got a bird’s eye view and a very sobering feeling. He and a buddy handed out 500 Bibles and helped out any way they could.
A fellowship dinner was enjoyed after church.
At 6 p.m., we began with singing. LeaAnn and Erin Crum did the special music. Pastor Neal shared about world events. We are living in the day described as the beginning of sorrows. He read from Deuteronomy 26 and 28. Let no man deceive you. Let us follow after Him and pray always.
Van Menzies prayed the dismissal prayer. Back pack items were collected for Plainview school.
Tuesdays at 7 p.m. we meet for special prayer time and Wednesdays at 7 p.. we meet for Bible study. Come and be with us. We are studying in Exodus.
