A good morning to all our readers. We hope everyone had a safe and happy holiday weekend. The card and domino players had a cookout to pass the time of day on Monday as most family members did their own thing for Labor Day. Our hats off to Ellis Stephens as he used his grill and did a great job fixing the meat. Other people fixed the salad and other dishes and desserts. A good time was had by all. There were about 12 in attendance.
We send get-well wishes to all the sick, the ones in the hospitals and the nursing homes.
Our sympathy to all who have lost loved ones. May God bless you in your time of sorrow. Our thoughts are with you.
We send greetings and say Happy Birthday to all who have a birthday at this time. May you have a great day with many more to come.
Visitors of Norma Jones this past week were Arlen “Bud”, Peggy, Lane, Naomi Watkins and Peggy Greene. Phone calls from Naomi, Amy June and Jerry Lee Watkins, also Jacob.
Ellis Stephens attended the sale for his sister, Ruby, at Sparta on Saturday while Emmalyn, Rae Kerr, and Deloris Dougherty went to Springfield shopping.
On Sunday afternoon Faith Rock Church was here for a sing-a-long and the reading of God’s word. All who missed it, missed a great time. We always look forward to time spent togetther with each other.
No other news turned in so will sign off for now. Have a good week and stay healthy and remember Jesus Loves You.
