Here we were favored with a good rain late Saturday, some color is showing up in the lawn grass since and with the morning dew may just bring back the green grass.
God has continued to bless our church with souls being saved, people joining the church, and faithful men, women, and children who attend every week. As a result of our growth and our desire to reach out to the lost and unchurched, we are starting an experimental new service; this new service started Sunday at 10:15 in the gym with 200 in attendance. The pastor was asked, where do we go next; his answer was to four services.
I sat with Gladys in church Sunday night, she is well set up in her new home, but I sense she is missing Springfield.
A call came from Geneva in Oregon this week, Nadine went home from the hospital after her shingles; after a few days she returned back for her appointment with her doctor to find out that she has pneumonia and also a heart problem, she is in need of our prayers.
Marise had a very demanding past week and this week she is in need of rest.
As myself, I am taking it slow in this weather, I go to church and auxiliary and that is about it. Most of us say, this weather makes us lazy and we never want to move around.
August 30th, at the University Plaza, Marise and I attend the St. John’s Auxiliary Awards Banquet. We both receive our 2,500 hour pin, also with dinner.
Sending our prayers to all who have lost so much of everything from the water and fires everywhere, with God’s blessing to all.
