Mt. Tabor Church was host for their Annual Old Folk’s Day, Sunday, September 11, 2-4 p.m. After a song and welcome by Pastor Dennis Shumate, the congregation joined in for an afternoon of fellowship and fun. There were several taking part with readings, poems, songs and Brother Tom Johnson gave a testimony of his time spent at Mt. Tabor.
After the program, the church gave gifts to the oldest man, Brother Tom Johnson, runner-up, Blaine Kargis, oldest lady, Jewell Johnson, runner-up, Bessie Hall. We had drawings to give away all the gifts our church members had contributed. We appreciate everyone who helped in any way, and to those who attended, we hope to see you all again next year, second Sunday in September.
