First of all I’ve got to retract something I wrote last week. It is about the Peckerwood Hollow slab. It was put in in the early 1940′s.
Dick and I were in town Tuesday and we stopped for a visit with Helen Dobbins on our way home.
I visited with Peggy Jenkins, Goldie Miller and Irene Richards Saturday morning then went to Mary Hampton’s funeral. Mary had suffered many years. Our prayers are with John and Heather, for their great loss.
Kelly, DeAnn, Kinsey and Kailey Thompson and Dick and I had lunch with Norma and Kenny Sunday after church. Kyle spent the weekend with his friend, Jayden Hicks.
Freda Richards was sick all lost week. I called her this morning and she said she was feeling better. She said George Haden, her brother from Washington will be flying in Wednesday. They will be here for their family reunion Saturday in Ava.
We got word this morning that my sister, Reatha (Jenkins) Haas has took a turn for the worse in Owasso, Oklahoma.
Ric Englehart spoke to the Goodhope General Baptist youth Sunday evening. One of the things he talked to them about was that they have to be a strong Christian to stand up to their non-Christian peers in school and in the world. We appreciate it, Ric, for a good job, well done.
May God bless, until next time.
