Quad Cities

August 29th – We’ve been having some beautiful fall-like weather; even though one day got up to a heat index of 100 or more.  They said we were under a heat advisory and let a lot of the schools out early.  Then before the day was over the temps started going back down and got to a nice low.  We got a few sprinkles when we sat out yesterday.  Just enough to send us into the front of the garage, but never did really rain.  One day when we were out there it did that and then just poured down for a few minutes, but didn’t even get the road good and wet.

They were getting together for my grandson (Jared’s) wife, Carrie’s birthday Saturday at the Salisbury Park between here and Muscatine.  I thought about going but that’s all I did, HA.  We had to be in Davenport the day before for an appointment with my skin doctor and that was 10:00 am, so by the time we got out, stopped at Walcott and ate lunch, then stopped in Wilton to pick up a few things, we were pretty tired when we got home.  That’s the excuse I’m using anyway.  I sent Anita a message yesterday evening to find out who all was there, but I guess she didn’t get it.  When we went to Muscatine on Wednesday, Lisa had some tomatoes, cucumbers and a few hot peppers for Walt.  He used to eat those a lot, but has had to give up those and onions as well.  I think he has a Hiatal? Hernia.  He gets those exact symptoms sometimes.  He has a check-up next month and I want him to tell the doctor.  He gets into some pretty bad misery sometimes and he used to eat anything he wanted to and not have any trouble.  We’ve got a busy day again today so I have to get ready to go, go, go.

So take care of yourselves and Bye, Bye for now.
