The 4th Sunday Singing was held at Dogwood Nazarene Church, August 28 from 2-4 p.m. The welcome was given by Emcee, Sybil Gheer; Bro. Michael Peebles opened with prayer; song books were distributed and collected by Freeman Porter. There were 75 present and 38 songs were shared. The next Fourth Sunday Singing will be at Breedon Church, September 25.
Participating instrumentalists include: Piano: Sue Brown, Susie Sisco, Loretta DeWitt; Guitar: Joe Lafferty, Michael Peebles, Jim Porter; Electric Guitar: Marshall Yates; Harmonica: Sybil Gheer, Bob Sothman; Violin: Violet Lakey, Sybil Gheer, Diane Peebles, Leah Peebles; Bass Cello: Michael Peebles.
Instrumentalist played their instruments prior to the congregational singing. Other special music included: Solo’s: Jim Porter, Bonnie Melton, Marshall Yates; Duet: Jim Porter and Bob Sothman; Michael and Diane Peebles; Trio’s: Sybil Gheer, Jim Porter, Bob Sothman; Susan St.Claire, Bob Sothman, Sybil Gheer; Quartet: Joe and Clara Lafferty, Susie Sisco, Wilma and Lee Hampton; church groups: Breedon, Dogwood Nazarene, Faith Rock. All preachers attending the Singing provided the final special.
