Bryant Heights

This Monday noon 85 with a high of 90, we are happy for the cool down the last week or so and here we did get one good rain; looking forward to September and cooler weather.

I enjoyed reading Norma Stillings’ news of last week, the hot days and nights of the 40’s and the 50’s, I go back to the 30’s and went to Oregon in 1944 to live there the next 50 years, there it was lots of rain, not much sunshine and cold a lot of the time.  When we moved to Douglas County, March 18, 1992, I could not get enough of the sunshine.

At Seminole it just gets better every Sunday, there will be starting soon a third morning service, new people just keep coming and that is very good.  We welcome a guest preacher Jerry, I did not get his last name, he preached morning and evening, we would love to have him come back any time.

I see Gladys Cunningham at all the services at church and she is doing well.

Sister Geneva in Oregon, Saturday called with the news, Sister Nadine was taken to the hospital with the shingles, she needs prayer, I know.  I have had those things.  Geneva, wishes to send her greeting to Fern Bishop, she has good memories of you from High school days at Brushy Knob.

The Champions School Reunion the 27th is coming September 3rd, I went to school there one year, I may go this year depends on the weather.

We fail because we do not try.  You must have courage to get out of the boat.
