The Missouri Fox Trotters is preparing for its fall celebration and the Ava Lions Club is busy preparing to support the celebration through the concession stand.
Vendors will be delivering supplies and food items all week in preparation to serve the many visitors to the fall Celebration. The Lions concession stand will be open from 6 a.m. with a complete breakfast and will remain open until the final class is judged. They will also be serving complete dinners along with luncheon and dinner specials.
This week, the Lions were busy preparing the menu items and updating the building to make it more accessible to disabled individuals. The concession building now has ramps at both entrances that comply with the Americans with Disabilities Act.
The Lions board members will be meeting during the Celebration to discuss additional improvements and changes to the concession stand and how we can utilize the building to better serve Ava and the surrounding community.
Although the show does not officially begin until Sunday, Sept. 4, the Lions building will be open and serving food and drink all day Saturday. We invite you to come visit our concession building if you are attending the fall Celebration.
An Ice cold drink or ice cream cone will be mighty tasty on the hot evenings.
We wish everyone a happy and safe Labor Day weekend.
