Ava General Baptist Church

After songs of praise and worship, Pastor Oren read scripture from Romans 1:8-17.  Paul was so excited by the righteous and faithful in Rome and he longed to visit and fellowship with them.  He prayed for them and interceded in their behalf because he felt such joy in their faithful attitude.  Today, we can get a helping hand from our fellow Christians as we all deal with day to day living.  We all should be mindful of our attitudes and in the spirit of Christ we should be committed to living a life that is Holy.  As Christians we are sanctified in Christ so we must be worthy of His faithfulness.  Others see our attitudes and deeds when we least expect it.  Pray for each other that we all put our best light out there for others to see.

Next Sunday, Sept. 4, our evening worship service will be dismissed and Monday Sept 5, MMM is dismissed and the church office will be closed due to Labor Day.

To learn more about Ava General Baptist Church or to contact us for more information, we invite you all to check us out at www.avageneralbaptist.org on the internet.  We have a list of activities, programs and our mission statement with articles of faith.  Our wonderful volunteers work as Sunday school teachers, nursery workers and in our Children’s church during both services.  We love to teach your children.  They are well cared for both physically and spiritually while they are in our care.  We want all parents, grandparents or guardians to know how proud we are of all our teachers and nursery workers as they serve God in this way.  We should pray for them and give thanks for the great job they do.

We know many of you all have your own prayer list with concerns as well as the church list that continues to grow.  Our hearts should be burdened for those who are in poor health physically and spiritually as well as those who may not know the Lord personally.

As Paul said in our scripture lesson today, he felt obligated to preach the Word to all mankind.  No matter whether they were Jew or Gentile, Paul had a burden to fill others with the joy of knowing Jesus Christ.  Please keep the word of God going this week in your life and invite someone to church with you this Sunday.  God loves one and all.  See you Sunday. God Bless.
