Smallett

Sunday morning I attended church with Jim and Maxine Lund at Noble Church.

On Sunday night Brother Roberts brought the devotion from Ecclesiates 3: 1, “A New Season.”

Sister Venita Brummet sang a beautiful special.

Visiting Sunday evening with Toby, Jacinda and Dallee Sheppard and Shelden and Kendra Walker were Ryan Breshears, Miranda Milligan, Shawn and Alexis Swearengin, Jessica Friady and Nora Edwards. Alexis Swearengin spent Friday night with Grammy and Pappy Sheppard, she then spent the night with Memaw and Papa Edwards.

On Tuesday Nora Edwards, Mary Mackey,Joyce Erickson, Maxine Lund and Margaret Rosseau made a day trip to Mt. Home, Arkansas where we had lunch at Fred’s Fish House. We stopped and bought Cave City watermelons while there too.

We appreciate Nora being our driver.

On Monday, Nora Hunsaker and Lee Williams came to visit us, also John Goss and Melba Wilson came to visit later on Monday.

I made a trip to Nixa, MO. on Friday and spent the day with Becky, Maeson and Hailey Carter. We shopped for school shoes for Maeson then ate lunch at Fazoli’s, then Maeson , Hailey and I all got haircuts.

Our community is saddened by the death of a dear friend, Cheryl Hopper, she will be missed by us all.

I had a very nice phone call from Fran Cunningham. She was checking to see how I was doing after surgery. Thank you Fran, I enjoyed our visit.

Nora Hunsaker, Lee Williams and I made a trip to Windsor, Mo. on Thursday to visit with Uncle Hugh and Aunt Violet Morris. They seem to be getting along pretty good. We took them some watermelon and they seemed to really enjoy that treat. I played the piano for them and the other residents while there.

Until next week remember that Without Him We could do nothing.
