Sunday evening opened with hymns with the congregation then sister  Bernetta Williams sang a beautiful special. We were glad to have  Brother John and Sister Bernetta Williams in service with us on Sunday evening. Brother Cody Prock brought the powerful evening message from Matthew 7:1-5, 7-12.

Nora Edwards, Miranda Milligan and Alexis Swearengin spent Monday in Springfield shopping and then met up with Toby and Jacinda Sheppard and Kendra Walker at lunch. Kendra was glad to be released from the doctor’s care after a couple of months of being in a cast and brace because of a dislocated thhumb.

On Tuesday, a cousin get-to-gether at the Pizza Hut was enjoyed by Jerry and Suanne Sutherland, Dianna, Cassidy and Caitlyn Bernhard, CloElla Leverenz, Nora Edwards, Raymond and Naida Haden, Carl Atwood, Bill and Mary Lou Hodges, Frank Williams and Erin Crum.

Bob and Nora Edwards enjoyed having the family together in their home on Sunday evening for supper to celebrate their grand daughter’s 21st birthday. After supper, Miranda opened gifts then ice cream and cake was enjoyed. Those joining them for the celebration were Shawn, Alexis and Braxton Swearengin, Toby and Jacinda Sheppard, Shelden and Kendra Walker.

On Sunday, Delmar and I joined several friends and family at the city park to celebrate the 11th birthday of Johnathon Snelson. We enjoyed cake and punch. There were lots of balloons, and other party favors given to all the kids. He later enjoyed another celebration with his sister, Mandy and his four neices and nephews.

Those visiting in our home last week were Nora Hunsaker, Lee Williams, John Goss, Melba Wilson, Donna Bannister, Bevy Moore, Becky Carter and Stacie Hamby.

On Wednesday, we visited with Jack and Barb and Miracle Breshears.

On Wednesday, Delmar and I ate lunch with Nora Hunsaker and Lee Williams then we stopped and visited with nephew, Tim and Loretta Burton.

We visited with Dorothy Burton one evening. On Friday, Donna Bannister and I drove to Springfield and met Shawn, Summer and Caidence Johnson along with Shawn’s mom, grandma, sister and nephew. We were excited to be there when the ultrasound showed the new baby is going to be a boy.

Delmar’s garden is about all gone now. He will really miss that but, he has a few turnips up so, we hope to have a few messes of them.

Until next week just remember as Christians, we have come too far to look back.
