We began with standing to read our devotional from Romans 10. Many prayer requests were shared because people need the Lord. Among those were Jim’s friend, Brady, Chloe Wilson, Paula Calmer, Jim Huffman, Janet Dalton, our unsaved loved ones, our nation, leaders and troops. Peggy Miller prayed this prayer.
Happy birthday was sung to Van Menzies. Testimonies were shared about our good God. It was so good to hear people share. Jim Harris said, “If you want to hear God laugh, tell him your plans”.
Van Menzies read Psalms 100, “Why do we not praise our Lord?” He also read from Daniel, Ephesians and James. Clay McFarland prayed our dismissal prayer and asked the blessing on our noon meal. A time of good food and good fellowship followed.
At 6 p.m., we began with singing. Danny Johnson prayed after prayer requests were given.
Van Menzies read from Romans 12, the surrendering life that is possible by the mercies of God and Titus 3, not by works of righteousness which we have done but according to his mercy he saved us.
Danny and Connie Johnson sang, “I Was on His Mind”.
We were glad to have Paul and Bonita Plake with us. We had special prayer for their daughter, Paula Calmer, who will be spending the week in the hospital for tests.
Each Tuesday at 7 p.m., we have special prayer time. Many requests are shared and many thanks are given for the answers. Our Lord’s house is to be called a house of prayer. Let us always pray and let us not faint.
Each Wednesday at 7 p.m. is our Bible study. Danny Johnson was our teacher last week. Danny always stirs our hearts by his exhortations. Pastor Neal is teaching from Exodus. He also shares about current events and how it relates to the times in which we are living. Thanks, Pastor, for keeping us up to date. We appreciate you so much.
Come and worship with us. You are always welcome.
