Norma Stillings is still limiting her activities due to a bad cough. Even though the cough is not supposed to be infectious, it sure hangs on. Norma’s air conditioner failed. It failed at a time that the temperatures outside were in the 70’s. If you have to have an air conditioner fail, it has to be considered a blessing that it failed after the hundred degree heat wave had ended.
There won’t be any fall green beans to pick out of Norma’s garden. Even though the beans sprouted and came up in every hill, something, maybe a rabbit went down the row and ate every one of the fresh and tender green leaves. There is still time to plant lettuce and spinach for some late salads. They say that you have to plant enough for the rabbits, but I do not know how much that is.
