You really should have been in service with us this last Lord’s Day. After our morning service, we had a fellowship dinner in celebration of my having survived another year, well you missed out if you weren’t there. And you can’t say you weren’t invited.
After Sunday school and our opening choir and congregational singing, we were treated to a special by four great youngsters and their Sunday school teacher. Miss Brunetta McNiece, Miss Beverly McNiece, Jake Mayberry, Joe Mayberry and their proud teacher, Mrs. Lola Mayberry did a great job with a special song. Then Ella Fay Mitchell sang a special, followed by prayer and the morning message.
The morning message was “What We Need,” from our text in II Timothy 3:16, “All scripture is given by inspiration if God” of course before you can understand that you have to “Believer in God” which was the underlying point, “What We Need.” You may have heard a similar message at Friendship Freewill Baptist Church, if you took the opportunity to attend last weeks revival service there.
Our evening message was from II Chronicles 24, the story of King Joash and his mistake of going into battle, without consulting the Lord, and how greatly it cost him.
Oh, we did save your seat, the air conditioning unit worked well, and in case your worrying about coming next week, the roof doesn’t leak either. Come on down, and worship the Lord with us, we don’t bite. (Well, okay most of us don’t.)
