We always start out our week at New Hope with our women’s prayer group on Tuesday mornings.
Wednesday night Bible study, we have been studying the book of Genesis. We had 20 attend Bible study.
Sunday morning we lifted up our prayer requests to the Lord. Bro. Lyndon led our Sunday school class. We studied Luke 12:36, 12:59 this week. We joined together in hymns and praises to God. We had 26 attend morning worship. Bro. Scott delivered our message from I Timothy 4:9-16. His message touched on that we shouldn’t just set an example to the lost and non-believers, but to the believers also. How? I Timothy 4:12 says “Let no man despise they youth; but be thou an example for the believers, in work, in conversation, in charity, in spirit, in faith, in purity.” We always expect God’s all, but we should also be diligent in giving our all to Him also.
Sunday evening we had 32 attend services. We started out with song and prayer. Our evening message was delivered by Bro. Scott from Isaiah 35:3-10. It was a wonderful message that inspired perseverance and long suffering of this world. Satan can sometimes weigh us down but if we could just always see through the muck into the bigger picture. Is 35:4 “Say to them that are of a fearful heart be strong, fear not; behold your God will come with vengeance, even God with a recompense; he will come and save you.” Satan roams the earth seeking whom he may devour he knows where we are weak, he know our vulnerabilities, but our time of suffering on earth is short-lived compared to eternity that we could spend in Heaven. There through perseverance in the name of Jesus shall we overcome the hindrances of this world. No sickness, no pain, no lame, no dumb, no deaf, no blind, no tears just rejoicing! How can that not inspire us to be focused on serving God with our all in the here and now? Know we are deserving of the riches that await us – our Lord thought we deserved that opportunity so much that He died a brutal death at Calvary just for us! We should never look back on our sin, but rather use it as a testimony of what our Savior has delivered us out of. We would love to have you join us for services. Although we are going through a remodel, we are still having services so please come join us! Tuesday morning women’s prayer meeting at 8:30 am, Wednesday night Bible study at 7:00 pm, Sunday school and 10:00 am, morning worship at 11:00 am and evening service at 7:00 pm.
