Tuesday, August 9th
What a nice cool Monday such a difference from the hot we’ve had for so long. But let’s enjoy it. We got about an inch of rain here, for which we are thankful.
Saturday evening, Michell and Dwain Campbell, Alice McCall, Will Collins and his girlfriend Ashley all of Cabool came and took Ann Collins to Rockbridge to eat.
Friday night Karen and Doug Fredrick, Jared, Sirena, Cole and Isabell Gradshaw and Rita Bradshaw all drove to Algonquin, Illinois to attend a surprise 90th birthday party for Doug’s grandma Roberta Fredrick. They came back Sunday night.

This week’s news. Still nice and cool today, Monday the 15th. We are sure getting a nice break here in the middle of August.
Ava School starts this Wednesday. I think most of the schools do start this week.
Ann Collins and Ella May Daugherty visited awhile Thursday evening with Agnes Williams.
Carol Wise and Riley O’Shea from Springfield came down Friday and stayed until Sunday with Ann Collins. They went to a play Chris Hartzell was helping with on Saturday night. Think Riley was in the play.
Tracy Griffith and Hannah came after me Saturday. We went to Springfield, then I stayed overnight at their house. Hannah and Devin went to the pool in Ava Sunday evening.
Sirena Jared, Cole and Izzy Bradshaw and Rita Bradshaw visited Sunday with Karen and Doug Fredrick.
My deepest sympathy to Gladys Cunningham and family in losing Oscar; also to Cheryl Hopper’s family.
