God blessed us with a beautiful day. The cooler weather is great.
Prayer requests were given for Neta Holt, Sue Thompson, Loren, Lucille, Connie and Leah, James DeGase, George Jefferies and Nellie.
The morning special music was by Linda R., Linda P., Bevy and Betty. Bevy’s solo was wonderful, “He Grew A Tree”.
The morning message was taken from John 1:1, In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God and the Word was God. He was born of a virgin, crucified, put in a borrowed tomb for three days, arose from the dead, ascended to the father and He is coming back for His own. God is eternal to everlasting.
It is our job to make sure we are ready for his coming for we will spend eternity in one place or the other, our choice.
Preston Beashears will be with us Sunday morning with his testimony of God’s wonderful love, his healing and keeping power. He will also have a video, come and hear this wonderful testimony.
Evening message was from Hebrews 12:4, When God chastens us for not obeying what he has told us to do, what do we do? Verse six says the Lord chastens and scourgeth whom he loves. One would think one time would be enough to punish as a little child, but not so.
“Do we always do what God tells us to do”? I think not, read verse eight and see what the word says about not having chastisement.
