Black Oak Church

“And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ’s sake, hath forgiven you,” Ephesians 4:32.

Brother Roy Frye opened Sunday school after we all sang. Pastor David prayed for the prayer request. Bro. Roy read Proverbs 22:1-9 for the devotion then dismissed us to class.

Please pray for the Athel Jackson family, all bereaved, Wilma Sanders, Dara Strong, Dana Brazeal and family, Pat Brazeal, Loretta Cornelious, Betty Satterfield and family, Rick Bailey and family, Glen and Louise Simpson, Eric Ealy, Crystal Lee, Jeannie Miller, Veda Bushong, Sue Thomas, Kathy, Anna, unsaved, unspoken, country, military and Black Oak Church.

Pastor David sang and Austin Maggard sang for us. Preston Adams and Zoe did the penny march for Camp Piland.

We missed Hunter and his family, Louise, Wanda, Dara and family. We appreciate our visitors.

Pastor David preached from John 14:1-3. A very good message. The children made crosses out of stickers while Drew read from Matthew about Peter walking on the water and how Jesus wants us to keep our eyes on Him.

Sunday evening Ella Fay Mitchell sang for us. We had good testimonies. Pastor David sang then preached from Genesis 13:1-13. Lot looked around and chose the land that looked good on the surface. He didn’t look past the good land to see the evil town of Sodom full of sin. A true follower of God loves God, wants to be in church, wants to be around fellow Christians, wants to be involved at church in God’s work, want to know god and His ways, and wants to obey Him. Satan can blind us, but real happiness is to know the Lord. Another good message.

We love you, keep walking with Jesus and God bless you all always.
