Arno

Debbie Cederlind came down and took Cecilia Edwards and her mother, Bonnie Phipps, to Ozark to Lambert’s Restaurant for Cecilia’s birthday and Kaylynn Todd joined them to help her aunt celebrate her birthday.

Debbie, Bonnie and Cecilia came back to Ava and then Roy and Linda Sue Freeman came over and visited with them. Mary Martha Williams, Marie Dickey, Doris Morrison, Carol Moore and Hellen Blakey all went to Houston last Tuesday evening to their O.E.S. Friendship Meeting and they had a real good turn out.

Last Tuesday I received .2 of an inch of rain in my rain gage, Thursday nine-tenths of an inch of rain and Friday one-tenths of an inch of rain and then all the other time I just got rain drops on my porch.

Marie Dickey and Hellen Blakey attended the luncheon at Mtn. Grove at the Sunny Side Café to find out who will be the O.E.S. new D.D.G.M. for the coming year and it will be Judy Cantrell from Mansfield.

Tara Coonce graduated from x-ray school Friday night and now will be working for Cox South Hospital as an x-ray techinican. She is the daugter of James and Kristie Blakey and the late James Dering, that is the first of the three girls to graduate. Brittany Kutz has two more years and Kendra Dering has two years in college and is in nursing school now.

Mark Blakey came by Saturday morning and he said he had to get back home and take Mark Weston fishing, which he loves to do.

George and Violet Blakey came by and brought me some cucumbers and canataloupes.

Saturday afternoon I attended the birthdy party for Pauline Schauffler, it was her 90th birthday. I visited with Roxie Heimeyer while there because she was at the party.  I would have loved to visit with others up there but I went on over to Martin and Mary Ann Hathcock’s and I got to see Jim and Jo Hathcock while I was there.

I sure appreciate Jo Stephens for picking up my mail while I was down in Oklahoma.

Lets keep all our sick folks in our prayers. My church families are doing better, but still need your prayers. Max Cox was back to church Sunday.

My prayers and sympathy go out to the ones who have lost a loved one.

I don’t know every one that has passed away, but I know some of the ones who are related to them.

Lets keep our leaders and the men and women in the service and their families and the ones in training in our prayers.
