Amy Lynn Jakusz, daughter of Mitch and Nancy Jakusz of Theodosia, and a 2007 graduate of Ava Victory Academy, is among 471 students who participated in Evangel University’s 53rd annual commencement ceremony on May 6, 2011.
She graduated summa cum laude with a bachelor of science degree in special education/elementary education and was honored with the Academic Excellence in Special Education award.
Dr. Troy Paino, president of Truman State University and a 1985 Evangel graduate, was the commencement speaker.
Evangel University is a private, Christian university that offers more than 100 undergraduate academic programs and 11 master’s programs. Evangel’s fall semester reached a record enrollment of 2,072 students from all 50 states and abroad.
