American Heart Association Names Top Fundraising Schools in Missouri

Last year, thousands of Missouri students raised funds for research and education in the fight against heart disease and stroke by participating in the American Heart Association’s Jump Rope for Heart and Hoops for Heart events throughout the state. In total, more than $1.2 million dollars were raised at almost 700 events in Missouri during the last school year.

The top 10 Missouri schools raising funds through Hoops for Heart during 2010-11 school year are:

Gainesville Elementary, Gainesville, MO – $4,771

Odessa Upper Elementary, Odessa, MO – $9,549

North Platte Intermediate School, Edgerton, MO – $7,457

West Middle School, O’Fallon, MO – $6,602

Troy Middle School, Troy, MO – $6,463

Ladue Middle School, St. Louis, MO – $6,090

Cole Camp Elementary, Cole Camp, MO – $5,512

Nipher Middle School, St. Louis, MO – $5,343

Lamar Elementary, Lamar, MO – $5,104

Wyland Elementary. Overland, MO – $5,023
