Announcement of the Annual meeting of the Support the Handicapped Board of
Douglas County
The Support the Handicapped Board of Douglas County will meet Tuesday, August 16 at 6:00 PM at the Sheltered Workshop to set the levy for 2012.
The Support the Handicapped Board administers the provisions of Missouri Revised Statutes 205.968 to 205.972 and monitors and guides expenditures from the Douglas County Sheltered Workshop Fund that are collected by the County for the benefit of persons residing in Douglas County who have been diagnosed and determined to be developmentally disabled.
The meetings of the Support the Handicapped Board are open to the public in accordance with the Sunshine Law. The August meeting of the Support the Handicapped Board is designated as the Annual Meeting. The Board will set aside time at this meeting to hear public comment regarding the Board’s ongoing purposes and direction.
