Rome News

We certainly appreciate the rain that has come our way the past couple days.

There were some thieves down our way last week.  Mary Jones, who is in the nursing home in Ava had her house broken into and they stole her car that was setting in her carport.  A couple weeks ago, thieves stole the copper wire from the propane gas tank at Goodhope General Baptist Church, most of the gas leaked out.  We all need to keep our eyes open for all those people that are too lazy to work, that are doing all this stealing.

Dick and I had lunch at Subway, Friday, did some shopping then visited with Golda Miller, Irene Richard and Louise Jennings, Peggy Jenkins was sleeping so I didn’t wake her up at Heart of the Ozarks Health Care Center.  Goodhope General Baptist Church had VBS last week.   There was a good turn out.  Norma Cross and I helped Larry Tidwell and Josie Rasch in the kitchen.  I’m sure none of those boys and girls went home hungry.

Norma Cross, Kenny and Seth Hunt had lunch at Ava Drug Saturday and then went to Heart of the Ozark Health Care Center to visit Golda, Irene and Peggy.  Her guests for lunch Sunday after church was Kelly and Deann Thompson, Kinsey, Kailey and Kyle, Dick and Pauline Richards, Kenny, Seth and Destiny Rasch.

Tony Richards took his mother’s mail to her Friday and then Sunday he and Lisa spent some time with her.
