Another of our youth led our services Wednesday; Wyatt Isaacs began by taking prayer requests/praise reports. Bro. Hi Lambeth led us in prayer.
Wyatt read 1Samuel 17:30-55. He did a good job reading his scripture. We should be as David and trust in God for everything.
August 7th – Morning
Sunday school opened with a beautiful life prayer request and devotional was handled by Bro. Jack Essary, opening prayer made by Sis. Laureena. Devotional read from Romans 2:108.
Testimonies from Jim Lafferty, Jeff Shipley, Bro. Hi, Lila Roberts. Song service opened and special songs by Laureena Mitchell and Melissa Harmon. Bro. Bill‘s message was from II Samuel 22, 23:1 and Revelations 1:4. Thought was God is everything to us; worthy of our praise even when we are afraid and in the dark. He is our light.
Evening service opened with a song. Bro. Jeff Shipley took prayer request and opening prayer led by Bro. Hi Lambeth. Testimonies were given by Sis. Melba and Bro. Jeff. Bro. Jack Essary brought the message from Ii Corinthians 1:1-6, 12; the God of all comfort. Bro. Jack turned the service back to Bro. Bill to dismiss, dismissal prayer was by sis. Doris Lambeth.
Our church family was deeply grieved with the passing of Bro. Lonnie Combs. We were blessed to have him in our services and to hear his good testimony. He will be greatly missed. Our prayers go to all his loved ones that God will comfort them.
