Ava FFA attended State FFA Leadership Camp during Week 5 of Camp at Kaiser, Mo., at Camp Raising Sun.
Members attending were James Elijah, Kayla Yost, Hannah Phinney, Ciara Fossett, Autumn Dawson, Tylor Emerick, Jimmy Melton, Moe Melton, Clayton Young, Cody Bellman-Hart, and advisors Brent Lakey and Tiffany Kauffman.
Members participated in waterfront activities, leadership workshop, archery, trapshooting, conservation, sports, and heard speakers from the agriculture industry.
Campers also participated in a dance on Tuesday night, the inspirational Vespers program, and attended the Main Street Opry.
Jimmy Melton was the best marksman in archery at camp that week. Jimmy was also selected as All-Around Camper from Ava.
Ciara Fossett, Autumn Dawson, Kayla Yost, Hannah Phinney, and James Elijah all received their State FFA Leadership Medals. Fossett, Dawson, Yost, Phinney, and Elijah also received 3rd place in FFA Rituals for Opening and Closing Ceremonies.
