Sunday morning service was opened with the Primary class performing two praise songs. Now if you don’t think these little people know how to praise the Lord, you are surely mistaken. They did a super job, even got the rest of the congregation involved with the songs.

The youth praise team did a good job with praise and worship.

There were several prayer requests.

We missed Brother Randy and Sister Venita Brummet. They were gone to Nebraska to return their grandson, Anthony, home so he could get ready for school to begin.

Brother Roberts brought the morning message from I Samuel 17:32-36, 17: 48, “ Attitude Adjustment.”

Brother Cody Prock brought the evening message from Matthew 5:14-16, “Let your light shine.”

The ladies night out is this Tuesday evening at 6:00 P.M., in the church.

Having supper with Bob and Nora Edawrds Monday evening was Tillie Fowler. Others visiting during the week were Toby and Jacinda Sheppard, Shelden Walker and Sheila Grey.

Nora Edwards visited on Tuesday with Suanne Sutherland. Jerry and Suanne Sutherland visited their daughter Dianna Bernhard and granddaughters, Cassidy and Caitlyn, in Springfield Sunday and Monday.

Bob and Nora Edwards joined family and friends in Ava at the home of Miranda Milligan and Shawn Swearengin on Wednesday night to celebrate the second birthday of Brandon Swearengin. Others there for the Cars theme party were Alexis Swearengin, Toby and Jacinda Sheppard, Shelden and Kendra Walker, Roger and Irene Swearengin, Casey Merrifield Stephanie Maggard. Cake and ice cream were both served.

Visiting last week with Matt Michael and Clarise Ford were Matt’s parents from New Mexico.

Those visiting in our home this week is granddaughter, Hailey Carter from Nixa, MO., Donna Bannister and Bevy Moore.

Enjoying a homemade pizza party on Monday evening, in our home were Nora Hunsaker, Lee Williams, Vern and Kathleen Deatherage, Earnie and Helen Cook, Jessica and Amanda Cook, Dwayne, Justin and Kendell Cook, Matt Michael and Clarise Ford, along with Hailey Carter and Delmar and me.

There were lots of family and friends in attendance at Fair Grove, MO. on Saturday evening, to celebrate the first birthday of Caidence Johnson, my great granddaughter. She tore the cake up and had a big time opening gifts.
