We stood to read our devotional reading from I Samuel 2. Prayer requests were given and praises were shared. We praised the Lord for the good rain we received.
Brad Siler prayed the offertory prayer as he and Clay McFarland received our Lord’s tithes and offerings with Elane Crum doing the music. A friendly time was had by handshaking.
Several testimonies were given about our good Lord and His works among us. Judy Wilson reported from Dr. Sam and Sherri Evans. Sam is in the states for some medical treatments. Let us pray for him.
Pastor Neal prayed the pastoral prayer and Danny Johnson led us in two songs.
Pastor Neal read from Luke 8. Jesus with his 12 goes throughout every city and village preaching and showing glad tidings of the kingdom of God. Certain women ministered unto Him of their substance. He then taught the parable of the sower. What kind of soil are we? Several prayed at the altar.
At 6 p.m., Stan Humbyrd prayed our beginning prayer with singing following. Testimonies were given. It is always so good to hear what our great God is doing.
Prayer requests were given for Melissa Dalton, Elane Crum, Avery Hendricks and LeaAnn Crum for the Options Clinic and clients. Let us always remember to pray for our church family’s needs.
LeaAnn and Erin Crum did the special music.
Pastor Neal read from Luke 8, the lighted candle, and Matthew 13. We are told in God’s word to let our light shine.
Martin and Amy Hodges of Nixa have a precious little girl named Ryann Faith. She weighed 7 lbs. 11 oz. and was 21 inches long, born on Tuesday, July 19. It is great to have another little one in our church family. Jesus loved the little children and so do we.
I am glad to report that Bill Comer is home doing well after three days in the hospital. He said thanks for your prayers.
Every Tuesday at 7 p.m. is special prayer time and it is so good to pray together. Every Wednesday at 7 p.m. is Bible study. We are now in the book of Exodus. Come and study with us. You are welcome.
