We came to the Lord’s house; what a good place to be. We stood to read our devotional from II Corinthians 7. Prayer requests were given for Melissa Dalton, today’s services, our troops, nation and the lost. Kevin Hodges prayed this prayer.
Happy birthday was sung to Phillip McFarlin and happy anniversary was sung to Brad and Patty Siler and Doyle and Frances Humbyrd for their 50th wedding anniversary.
Brad Siler prayed the offertory prayer as he and Stan Humbyrd received our Lord’s tithes and offerings with LeaAnn Crum at the piano. Time was then given to see Ryann Faith Hodges. So glad for all our visitors also. Testimonies were shared about our Good God. Pastor Neal prayed.
LeaAnn Crum and Martin Hodges provided special music for Phillip McFarlin’s birthday.
Pastor Neal read from Luke 8 where Jesus was in the ship with His disciples. Jesus said, “let us go over to the other side”. Jesus then went to sleep and a storm arose filling the boat with water. The disciples awoke Jesus and said they were perishing. Jesus asked where their faith was and calmed the storm. The disciples said, “What manner of man is this, the winds and water obey him?”
We were dismissed in prayer by Elane Crum.
Food Harvest collection will be next Sunday. Let us dig a little deeper because of the needs.
6 p.m. services began with prayer by Pastor Neal followed by singing. Testimonies were given by several telling of the goodness of God our Father. LeaAnn and Erin Crum sang. Also, all our kids sang some special songs with the help of Stan and Kim Humbyrd.
Pastor Neal taught from Luke 8. Jesus healed the demonic. Afterwards he was clothed and in his right mind sitting at the feet of Jesus. Jesus said, “Go to your house and show how great things God hath done. We are to go and tell also.
We were dismissed in prayer by Stan Humbyrd.
