Red Bud News

A good morning to all our readers. We hope everyone had a good weekend and a place to be while it is so hot. As we have been in the hundreds for a while. Be sure to check on the shut ins during this heat.

We send get-well wishes to all the sick, the ones in the hospitals, and the nursing homes. Our sympathy to all who have lost loved ones. May God bless you in your time of sorrow. Our thoughts are with you.

We send greetings to all the ones who have a birthday at this time. May you have a great day with many more to come.

This news from the desk of Emmalyn and Ellis Stephens. Visiting Ellis and Emmalyn the past week have been Charlotte Koop and Steven Heinlein. On Sunday Emmalyn’s new great-grandson, Luke, with Mommy and Daddy, “Lesley and Taylor” came by. Luke will be a month old on August 4. Ellis is having some hip problems. He was to see his doctor on Tuesday and back on Monday, the first of August. Ellis and Emmalyn was in Mtn. Grove on Thursday to take Edna Frye to the doctor.

We hope everyone is staying in out of the heat.

This news from the desk of Fae Pruett. Visitors of Fae have been Jackie Nelson, Cheryl Holloway, Evelyn Witchey and Earnestine Martin.

I, Norma, received a call from an old schoolmate on Tuesday evening which I enjoyed very much. We talked about things of the past and she reminded me of the Wagner School Reunion on August 13. We hope to see a lot of our classmates there. There will be a lunch served about noon. Come and bring a covered dish and join the rest for a time of fellowship and picture taking and all the rest that goes along with a get-together like this and think of the days gone by. The classmate that called was Shirley Copeland Smith from Springfield. We hope everyone has a good week and stays cool.

Until next week, smile and remember God loves you.

The Faith Rock Church will be here on Sunday afternoon from 2-4 p.m. for our sing-a-long and the reading of God’s word.
