Freeda Holt visited with Tom and Jewell Johnson one day last week.
Donald Fletcher of Fair Grove visited with his brother, Billy Fletcher, last Wednesday. Jean Daugherty came over for a visit with Billy, Saturday. Billy attended the 60th Wedding Anniversary celebration in honor of Bill and Wanda Huffman at the American Legion.
Edgar Stewart and Billy had Sunday dinner at Kentucky Fried Chicken. Sunday evening, Billy and his neighbor, Wanda Lily, went out to Mt. Tabor to hear the Heritage Singers perform.
Norma Stillings had a doctor’s appointment Tuesday in Springfield. She attended a meeting of CHART, Thursday. Friday evening, Norma drove to the “Up and At ‘Em 4-H Club Picnic” at Holt, Missouri. The Douglas County University Extension Council met there. There was good live music, good hamburgers and homemade baked goods. There was shade from some large trees so that the heat was bearable for those who just sat in the shade listening to the music and eating. Some of those in the cook shack did not have it that easy.
