The past week at Oak Grove has been a full, wonderful blessed one. We had Vacation Bible School, Monday through Friday with our final program on Sunday night and it was a blast, not only for the children (we adults had fun too.)
The cast of characters who made it all possible were: Linda Bischoff, Joyce Smith, Ilene McCoy, Samantha Mayberry, Reed Travis, Linda Prock, Lola Mayberry, Phyllis Bentley, April Blackwell, Susann Tempe, Greg Nasif, Tom Bentley, Linda Naisf, Dirk Tempe, Eddie Mayberry, Josh Mayberry, Vivian Haynes and Amanda Mayberry. As you can see we had wonderful help, and I truly believe “everyone” had a great time and received a blessing from the Lord for their participation in His work.
Lest I forget we had the most beautiful bunch of children for the week you ever saw, you should’ve been there!
Our Sunday morning message was based on Revelation 5:12, “Worthy Is The Lamb That Was Slain,” to receive glory and riches and wisdom and strength and honor, and glory and blessings. Also the admonishments from the Apostle Paul that, “We should walk worthy of our calling, in the life of faith.”
Immediately following morning worship service we adjourned to the little Northfork, of the Little Northfork River and engaged in a baptistm of our Bro. Greg Nasif and again, the Lord blessed us with His loving presence (ain’t God good!)
Our evening service was the closing program for VBS, the children sang, quoted memory verses and each received a certificate for their efforts and faithful attendance. From the looks on their faces, they all had a really great time.
After the conclusion of the program, we adjourned to the basement fellowship hall for a potluck meal, complete with “homemade ice cream” (See I keep telling you that you should come and be our guest, but you missed it again.)
Don’t worry….I’m still saving a seat for you.
