Opening prayer and devotion to begin our Sunday services was by Joie Welker.
In our Sunday school classes we studied about Gideon in Judges 7 and how we need to get out of the way and let God rule. He can steer us to victory. Gideon walked in faith and brought Israel a great victory.
Sunday morning we had our children’s program from Bible school conducted by Brenda Hampel and Sharon Ginder. The teachers were also honored, Stacy Welker, Janice Young, Sharon Ginder, Vicki Miller, Wanda Casady and Joie Welker. Also the women in the kitchen who kept the food going to feed everyone were Glenda Miller, Delores Young, Charlotte Reich, Beverly Tetrick, Judy Hall, Kathy Cornett and Micah Marin.
A special appreciation goes out to Doug and Sheila Miller and all the ones who helped with the activities, the jumping balloon house, cotton candy, and snow cones for the kids. They all did a great job. We are so thankful to God for the children who attended and made this a success. Learning about Jesus is the most important thing in a child’s young life and they will always remember.

Bro. Dewayne Claxton in his sermon last week brought some very interesting and disturbing statistics, in his research he found that between years 1927-1946 65% were Bible based, 1947-1962 only 35%, 1965-1983 only 16% and 1984 to present time only 4% Bible based. We need to return to the basics, preaching the word of God and get our families back to serving the Lord.
At our evening service we had Bro. Ian Hendricks and his family as our guest speaker, his message was from Luke 7:36-50. We should not let anything come or get in our way from serving the Lord. This woman had faith and hope in Jesus.
God bless.
