We had a good week and enjoyed the good Fourth Sunday Singing we had at Faith Rock. We had a good crowd and lots of musicians and singers who did a great job. Our ladies set a wonderful dinner and just out did themselves with all the good food.
I enjoyed having daughter, Teresa Gloyd and he daughter, Jordan, from Springfield. I don’t get to see her as often as I would like to, so that was an unexpected surprise. My granddaughter, Albany also came for church and dinner. Its always a good day when we see our family come in for a visit.
I visited with my sister, Goldy Miller, in the nursing home Friday and enjoyed my visit with her and Reba. I visited with Leah Lee, who has pneumonia and was having a rough day. I hope to visit her again this week and I’m hoping she’s better. I stopped by to see Irene Richards who had broken her leg and she was in good spirits. They all need your prayers out there.
We had good services at Faith Rock in our morning services. Bro. Dewitt brought the morning sermon with good preaching and singing and Sis. Dewitt brought such an anointed sermon Sunday night. We’ve been having wonderful service with god’s anointing. We almost had the house full Sunday night, which is always great to have so many come out.
If you can read Deuteronomy chapter 30 this week, two scriptures stood out to me this morning. They were Deuteronomy 30:15, “See I have set before you this day life and good death and evil.” Deuteronomy 30:20. I believe this applies to us today also.
I hope everyone that can will come to Thursday night music at the theatre here at 7 p.m. this week. Ava’s own, Cindy Smith, Glen Dale Robertson, Bill Coats and part of the Oldfield Opry will perform as the “Blonde and the Gray.” I know if you like gospel and bluegrass you will enjoy them.
I almost forgot Faith Rock will be having a fish fry in August outside if we can get enough fish. Hopefully it all comes together and we can have some good music and singers which I’m sure it will turn out great just takes lots of work and by faith it will turn out great. It’s the first time we’ve done this outside. Hope everyone has a great week.
