July 31st AM Service
Our morning service was started by prayer and then the special requests for the sick and affected, Leah and Connie, Crystal Lee, Betty Herrell and family, Elsie Huff family, Ava Churches, and our military men and women.
Special songs were by Linda R. Norma, Linda and Bevy and Betty.
Morning message was in Luke 10:17-20, verse nineteen; Jesus gave us the power to tread on serpents and scorpions and over all the power of the enemy. Do we use the power He gave us? How many times do we say “get behind me Satan, with authority”?
Ephesians 6:10-20. We all know this wonderful passage of scripture. It tells how to dress for battle.
Finally my brethren, be strong in the Lord and in the power of his might. Verse eleven says,” put on the whole Armour of God” don’t go into battle half dressed, we cannot win if we don’t dress for the battles.
We had a special young man speaking to us in the evening service. His name is Michael Micro. God is blessing this young man and we enjoy hearing him, his first scripture was in Psalms 34:6, this poor man cried and the Lord heard him and saved him out of all his troubles.” The Lord does hear us but don’t go back day after day doing the same thing, “that don’t cut it”.
Michael said, “Look at Jonah,” you know God told him to go, Jonah said “no, don’t think so,” three days in the belly of a fish, I’d freak out. Michael has an explosive way of telling things. Micah 7:7 “Therefore I will look unto the Lord: I will wait for the God of my salvation”. My God will hear me. God always knows where we are and what we are doing.
Romans 3:23 “For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God, ALL.” None of us deserve the love and forgiveness he extends to all who call on His name. Philippians 4:13, we can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me, “keep on going”!! Matthew 19:26, with God all things are possible.
Michael’s closing words were, we fail without God at our side, He is everywhere and He is everything. Forgive us all Lord, we fall so short.
After the service, we had food; boy did we have food, hamburgers and hot dogs from the grill and all the trimmings, beautiful desserts, and fresh tomatos, watermelon.
Come be with us if you don’t have a home church or just come and visit some time. We are at the corner of NW 6th Avenue and NW 7th Street.
Pastor’s number 417-683-6547. “God doesn’t have to look for the answer, He is the answer.”
