Caney Church

Caney Church came together Wednesday evening with a song.

We were blessed Wednesday evening, Kourtney Shipley was our leader.  She is only ten, we were so proud of her.

Kourtney welcomed everyone, Bro. Jim Lafferty led in prayer.

Kourtney read Matthew 15:1-11.  She brought how we should honor God in all we do, how we should honor our parents and loved ones and to be careful of things we say.  She did a wonderful job standing for Jesus.

Everyone was blessed and read scripture.  Then we played a game where you had to think of words that being with “L” in the Bible; person, place or thing, it was fun.

Sunday school opened with singing.

Bro. Jack Essary welcomed everyone.  Burdens were heavy for some this morning.  A special altar of prayer was had led by S is. Melba Austin.  Other prayer/praise reports were given.  Bro. Hi Lambeth led in prayer.  Jack read II Corinthians 7:5-11 for our devotion.

Happy Birthday was sung to Etcyl Coulter, Peggy Essary.  Happy Anniversary to Jeff and Tracy Shipley, God Bless them all.

Sis. Tracy led the little ones in song, what a blessing.

Testimony was given by Jeff Shipley and Jim Lafferty.  Praise/worship began with singing.

Singing specials were sung by Gracie Shipley and Melissa Harmon.  Pastor Bill Austin spoke from Acts 10:38, Psalms 63:1-6.

God is so good to us, are we telling others of the goodness of God, count your blessing.

Sunday evening service began with singing.  Bro. Jeff welcomed everyone taking prayer requests/praise reports.  Sis. Janice Lafferty led in prayer.

Testimony was given by Jack Essary, Hi Lambeth, Bill Austin and Melba Austin.

Singing tonight, Maddie Shipley, what a blessing, she’s eight years old and stepping out for the Lord.

Bro. Jim Lafferty was our speaker Sunday evening.  He brought his message from II Corinthians 13:2-6.

Build your faith on the foundation of Christ.  We have proof Christ died and rose from the grave.  Examine yourselves in your belief of Christ.  It is your personal decision you have to make; live for Christ, walk the walk, not just talk the talk.

Come worship with us at Caney, you are welcome.
