Opening Sunday school Joe Lafferty read the 11th Chapter of Psalms.
Clara Lafferty prayed the opening prayer.
Lee Hampton taught the 17th Chapter of Luke, Jesus teaches about forgiveness and faith. Sometimes when things are not going good it really tries our faith.
Wilma Hampton read the questions and we asked for seven more next week.
Ronnie Thomas said the offering prayer. A few people testified and thanked God for their blessings. We are all still praying for rain. Out here at Breedon, we had 2 inches. It didn’t last long. We need a general rain all around. Most gardens didn’t make much.
The congregation sang four songs. Joe Lafferty and Sue Sisco sang a special. We always have good singing.
Joe Lafferty preached Psalms 16th Chapter, unprofitable servants, then Acts 2:25. He is at my right hand. We sang an invitation and Bro. Roy Hampton dismissed in prayer.
We had our Fifth Sunday singing at Breedon last night. We had a good service, but it was very warm. Our church is small and we don’t have a big air conditioner but we made it fine.
The next fifth Sunday singing will be the 5th Sunday in October. I sure hope by then it will be lots cooler. Goodhope invited us there for the October singing. Hope to see everybody there then.
Until next Sunday, next month, God Bless.
Tag that Preacher is Saturday, August 6th, starts around 6:00 pm for singing and 7:00 for preaching on the square at Ava. Bring your lawn chairs and join us for a good service. I hope by then it cools off.
