Opening Sunday school Roy Hampton read I Chronicles 16:8 and led in prayer. Lee Hampton taught our lesson in Luke 16 on the parable of the shrewd accountant and stewardship.
Wilma Hampton likes to have questions and to look them up. We do learn a lot. I like to review things I have forgot. Roy Hampton took up the morning offering. Lee Hampton prayed the offering prayer. Thank the Lord for the good rain.
The congregation sang at the 11 o’clock hour. Susie Sisco sang a special. Joe Lafferty took the service and preached the 10th chapter of Hebrews and led in prayer. The topic was, It Is A Fearful Thing To Fall Into The Hands of the Living God. We sang an invitational song and Lee Hampton dismissed in prayer.
Evening service started with singing. Susie Sisco sang a special as well as Ronnie Thomas and Sue, Joe Lafferty and Clara Lafferty. Roy Hampton preached on several scriptures on Jesus healing different people. I couldn’t keep up with all the different scriptures.
We had a special prayer service for Sue Thomas who found a lump in her breast. We all need to pray for her for healing. The Lord is still in the healing business. We don’t want to limit God in what He can do. If it’s His will He can do all things.
Joe Lafferty preached in James, chapter five.
Altar prayer was the dismissal prayer.
