Sunday morning service was opened with prayer then the Vacation Bible School children took charge of the service with songs by each group and some did scriptures. The children had a wonderful time each night last week. The teachers worked really hard and were very patient with their teaching. The kitchen workers were diligent with their preparation of snacks for everyone. Wonderful job workers.
Sunday evening, Brother Cody Prock brought the message from I Corinthians 1:17-31.
Visiting Bob and Nora Edwards during the week were Joyce Erickson, Mary Mackey, Lauren Etheridge, Toby and Jacinda Sheppard and Shelden Walker.
Delmar and I made a trip to Windsor, Mo. on Wednesday and came back on Thursday. We visited with Uncle Hugh and Aunt Violet Morris, Herb and Judie Morris and Howard Morris while there.
We stopped by and visited Summer and Caidence Johnson in Fair Grove, Mo..
Bevy Moore visited us one day and did dishes and swept for me and I made a squash casserole and a zucchini cake while she was here, so she took some of the cake home with her and I understand that Gary enjoyed that.
Donna Bannister came down on Monday and swept and mopped for me then we went to Norman and Maxine Rosseau’s and got some corn. Delmar and Donna cleaned it and we put some in the freezer but kept out enough for a good mess for our lunch. I made a squash casserole for lunch too.
We are saddened to hear that Cheryl Hopper is back in the hospital.
There have been several prayer requests for our prayer chain this week.
We are enduring the heat but it sure causes us to feel sluggish and not able to accomplish much work.
On Monday evening, Delmar and I had supper with Jack, Barb and Miracle Breshears then stopped back by and visited with Gary and Bevy Moore on our way home.
