We had such a sweet spirit at Black Oak Church Sunday. There is excitement in the air as we prepare for Bible School. Walking with Jesus is our theme with 3 John 4 and being our key verse. Bible School will be Saturday, July 30th at 9:00 a.m. til 2:00 p.m. We are cleaning the church the 23rd at 9.
Brother Roy Frye read Psalms 27:7-14 for our devotion after we sang. We missed Sister Betty at the piano. She attended church with her sister who has been very ill.
Please pray for Betty and her family, Louise, Richard and their families, Connie, Kathy, Crystal Lee, Veda Bushong, Pat Brazeal, Ralph Brazeal, Virginia, Megan, unsaved, unspoken, bereaved, military, country, VBS and church.
Pastor David sang then preached from Song of Solomon 2:15, a small thing can cause great big things to happen. Don’t let little things ruin our relationship with God or anyone else. A very good message to think about.
Sunday evening Pastor David sang and preached from Song of Solomon 2:1-7. God’s word is a place of rest and nourishment for our soul. We should be glad to be in God’s house to receive strength and encouragement from the word, our Pastor and the church family. We should be thankful for all His blessings. I know I am. Pastor David was on fire and it spread to us all. Thank you Jesus!
