Firemen from Squires Volunteer Fire Department, assisted by personnel from Ava Rural Fire Department, had to contend with 100-degree heat as they battled a fire at the Dave Young home Tuesday afternoon near Squires. The house was a total loss, as seen in the photo above, and is under investigation by the Missouri Fire Marshal’s Office.
