Sandy Church

Several from our church attended the funeral of Zella Menzies on Saturday at the Clinkingbeard Chapel.  She was buried at Mt. Tabor and a meal followed at our church.  Let us keep her family in our prayers.

Our devotional reading was from Psalm 78 and prayer requests were given.  Among those were lost loved ones, our nation, leaders and military.  We need the Lord Jesus always.  Stan Humbyrd prayed this prayer.

Cody Menzies prayed the offertory prayer as he and Stan Humbyrd received our Lord’s tithes and offerings.

Stan Humbyrd led us in two songs with LeaAnn Crum at the piano.

Several testimonies were given about the goodness of the Lord.

Pastor Neal prayed and read from Luke 7.  Jesus came to the city of Nain.  There the Lord saw a widow who was going to bury her son.  When Jesus saw her, he said, “Weep not”.  He came and touched the bier and said, “Young man, I say unto thee, Arise”.  He sat up and began to speak.  What a difference the touch of Jesus makes.

Aaron and Melissa Dalton were in Children’s Church.  A fellowship dinner was shared by many.

At 6 p.m. we began with prayer by Pastor Neal.  We had a brief business meeting to discuss the building monies.  It is great how the Good Lord provides.

Testimonies were shared giving praise to God.

The kids sang with the help of Stan and Kim Humbyrd.  We enjoyed them so much and we are so glad to have them.

Pastor Neal read from Luke 7, Hebrews 9 and Philippians 3.  John the Baptist sent to Jesus saying, “Art thou he that should come or look we for another?”  He wanted to be sure.  We need also to be sure.

Tuesday at 7 p.m. we have special prayer time.

Wednesday at 7 p.m. we have Bible study in Genesis.

Tristan Crum flew back home to Oregon this week.  He spent time with Neal, LeaAnn and girls.  Remember to pray for Him.
