Sunday, July 10, 2011 – there were many prayer requests this morning: Herman Atchison, Royce Hutchison, Reba N., Delmar Rosseau, Henderson Gentry, Bonnie and Bill B., Crystal Lee, Preston Breshears, Kenny McDaniel, Ray Patterson, Marvin Graham, Bevy’s granddaughter, Raylee Grace and pray for one another.
Specials songs this morning were by Bevy and Betty, Bevy, Linda and Gary.
The morning message was in Romans 8:18 and was titled It Will Be Worth It All. For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which chall be revealed in us.
All of our troubles and sufferings will be worth it all, just keep on keeping on, to get closer to God, pray and read His Holy Word.
During evening service we had special prayer requests for Emma who is going to out of state camp, Betty H., Travis Burnett who was in a four wheeler accident, Donna A., unspoken and Linda R.
We can’t imagine all the blessings He will bestow on us, but we have to ask and believe.
Evening message was Romans 8:24. “For we are saved by hope; but hope that is seen is not hope; for what a man seeth, why doth he yet hope for? We pray for something, God answers our prayer and there are times, we are astonished, why? Peter was in prison, chained , the angel said,”Get up and go.” The chains fell off. Do you think he sat there and pondered over that fact? The locked gate opened and he went to the house where the people had been praying for him. He knocked , it was opened by a young maiden who ran to tell the people, “Peter’s at the door.” They told her she was crazy. When God gives us a miracle, how do we respond?
