Roy Hampton opened Sunday school by reading Numbers 16:26 and led in prayers.
Our lesson was Luke 14, parable of the great feast and the cost of following Jesus. It’s a straight path to follow Jesus, but he did so much for us we can surely try to do little things for Him. Lee Hampton teaches the adult class. We always learn something that we hadn’t noticed before; never quit learning. Lee Hampton led the offering prayer. Roy Hampton had a birthday. We sang happy birthday to him. Sometimes birhtdays come pretty fast.
We sang a congregational song and Sue Sisco sang a special. Sue Thomas was in attendance and played for us as well. Bro. Joe Lafferty preached the morning hour on Luke 14:14 and Samuel 2:14. Judgment is in God’s hands, Revelations 20:10.
We had a lot of members that weren’t there. I think that this virus that is going around is still taking lots of our attendance. Joe and I took it and some or our members have got it right now. You can’t seem to get rid of it once you have it. We sang an invitational song. Roy Hampton dismissed us in prayer.
Evening services started at 6 p.m. Sue Thomas played the congregation song. All of us have allergies and it’s hard to sing when you are hoarse.
Susie Sisco sang a special for us. Joe Lafferty preached in the third chapter of Romans, “The Truth of God. Roy Hampton’s topic was II chapter of II Timothy. They are all good messages. Clara Lafferty dismissed in prayer.
Everybody stay in where it is cool. The hot weather is not good.
