Sunday morning service opened with prayer requests and prayer then the youth praise team led us with some songs. We appreciate Richelle Shelton, Melanie Breeding, Shelden Walker, Daavela Rawlings and Curly Rawlings leading the songs each Sunday for the second service.

We were especially happy to see Cheryl Hopper in attendance Sunday morning. We miss each one of our regulars when they miss.

Brother Roberts brought the morning message from Galatians 5:22-25, “Fruits of the Spirit.”

HAPPY 50TH ANNIVERSARY TO JOE AND WILMA HAMBY!

On Sunday evening there was a large group of people who enjoyed lots of good food, music, fellowship and Fireworks at Walnut Grove Church.

Jerry and Suanne Sutherland spent the 4th of July weekend in Springfield with their daughter Dianne Bernhard, Cassidy and Caitlyn.

Visiting during the week with Bob and Nora Edwards were Sheila Gray, Kendra Walker, Robert Roberts and Joyce Erickson.

A 4th of July celebration was enjoyed Sunday in the home of Toby and Jacinda Sheppard. Gathering for the occasion of July 4th and also in celebration of Nora Edwards and Trenton Sheppard’s birthday which were both on the 4th, were Bob and Nora Edwards, Toby, Jacinda and Dallee Sheppard, Kendra and Shelden Walker, Miranda Milligan, Shawn and Alexis Swearengin, Ruth and Stacy Sheppard, Cody Sheppard and friend, Leann, Trenton and Taylor Sheppard, Sheila Gray, Michael and Jessica Fratti, Ryan, Kathy and Cody Breshears and Dottie Sheppard. They enjoyed a fish fry with all the trimmings and then birthday cake and homemade ice cream before watching the beautiful fireworks display.

Those visiting with Delmar and me during the week were Gary and Bevy Moore, Nora Hunsaker, Lee Williams, Stacie, Mahayla, Miley and Lexie Hamby, Marvin Rosseau from  Selah,Washington. On Saturday, we attended a get-to-gether in Ava, with Delmar’s brothers and sister. There were lots of other relatives and friends who gathered to visit and eat a delicious lunch at the Church of Christ.

On Monday evening, we attended a large gathering of family, friends and neighbors for a cookout and visiting then the wonderful fireworks display at the home of Ralph and Wanda Hedricks.

Until next week remember, we should be thankful for our freedom every day of the year.
