I hope everyone had a safe and good fourth of July. There was so many places celebrating the holiday that most everyone had a chance to see the fireworks and eat somewhere.
We went to all the ball games last week. The games will all be over after this week. Kyle Thompson was on Toby Sallee’s team, 8 and 9 year-old boys. We want to praise Toby for praying with his team before their games each time. What a testimony that was to those boys and everyone else.
The White River Summer Camp were over last Thursday. Debbie Tidwell drove the Goodhope Baptist Church van to pick up Emily, Brittney, Zac, Amber, Kyle and Johnny. I don’t think they were ready to come home. They enjoyed it so much. Glen Dale and Teresa Robertson went all four weeks of camp on Wednesday evenings to help serve and clean up. Others going were DeAnn Thompson, Becky and Savannah Cavalier and Dick and Pauline Richards. Our church provided desserts for the evening meal. Irene Richards came home from the hospital Tuesday evening. The doctors are trying to get her blood pressure and blood sugar under control. She is feeling some better, but is still weak. Tony and Lisa have been in and out looking after her.
Dick and I, Kyle and Jayden had lunch with Norma Cross and Kenny Hunt Sunday after church.
Sunday was Goodhope General Baptist Church time to go to Heart of the Ozarks Healthcare Center. The young people went to several rooms to sing for the ones that couldn’t come out for the service. They enjoyed singing some songs they learned at camp. At 6 p.m. we had food along with homemade ice cream then David brought a short sermon outside before the fireworks. God bless.
