Oak Grove Church

We trust you had a glorious Independence Day holiday and hope you were in church Sunday morning giving God the thanks of His many blessings to our great nation, and the godly principles upon which it was founded. Without which, by the way not only will we be a lost nation, but our nation will be lost. Think about it.

We had a wonderful srvice. Sisters, Linda Prock and Lola Mayberry, sang a duet. Bro. Gary Martin sang a solo and Jake Mayberry sang a short solo before the morning message.

Our morning message was centered around the Declaration of Independence and the text from Psalm 33:12, “Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord,” with several quotes from our founding fathers, who recognized the providence of our Creator in the birthing of our nation, and the fact that without His continued providence we will not long endure. And even in the old hymn, “America,” the conclusion asks that He, “Protect us by thy might, Great God, our King.”

In our evening worship service we took a close look at the, “Role of Man,” and the desire of God that we all have fellowship with Him. What it is necessary to us to do in order to have a closer, deeper relationship with Him.

We really do hope and pray that you will decide to come and be our guest some day soon. I’m beginning to feel like Tom Bodett sayin’, I’ll leave a light on for ya,” and I will, if it will help. (Still got your seat – wait ‘in for you to fill it!)
