Tuesday morning at New Hope is women’s prayer meeting. Wednesday night Bible study we have been studying the book of Genesis.
Our condolences, love and prayers go out to Bro. Ed and Sis. Lori’s family who just lost their father and also the Howard Dougherty family.
We had twelve adults in Sunday school and six children. After Sunday school the kids sang us some songs and had their penny march. We had a beautiful song service and testimonies.
We had twenty attend our morning service. Bro. Scott delivered our morning message from Matthew 7:13-23, to be careful not to be self-willed but God willed. What is God’s will for us? That none should perish – the wages of sin is death, that we do whatsoever He commands us. By doing so we have the promise of friendship from our Lord. Be ye Holy as I am Holy. We must transform ourselves and take on a form of Godliness, seek the lost. He came not to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance, spread the gospel abroad to be fishers of men, God’s mercy for us through His son Jesus Christ and dedication. He wants a church on fire for Him. The Bible says he will spew the lukewarm out of His mouth. We had three new members join our church and we are all so blessed to have them. Our prayers are with you. We had twenty-four attend evening service. We had many prayer requests. Bro. Scott delivered the evening message from Ecclesiastes 3:1-9, A Time To Every Purpose. We had a wonderful spirit filled service. During our morning services Bro. Scott challenged everyone to come back that evening with a scripture to share and a testimony, so we had several who shared a scriptrue that was spread to them, or a testimony on their heart.
VBS is coming up soon, so if you would like for your child to be involved, we are accepting ages 5-12 and up to 50 children due to space. We would like for the children to be preregistered also, so parents call 543-3437, 543-3617 or 543-3716 for more information. VBS is scheduled for August 1-5.
Our service tiems are Tuesday women’s prayer group at 8:30 a.m., Wedensday Bible study at 7:00 p.m., Sunday school at 10:00 a.m., morning worship at 11 a.m. and evening worship at 7 p.m.
