Top O’ the Ozarks Chapter of Missouri Pet Breeders Association (MPBA) is sponsoring an America’s Pet Registry, Inc. (APRI) sanctioned dog show on Saturday, July 23, at the Ozarks Family YMCA in Mountain Grove, Mo.
APRI is a quality dog club, that also believes in the family. Pet owners are encouraged to enter the show, and children are welcome to participate as well. Participants are also encouraged to do their own grooming.
Initially, each dog is judged against the breed standard and not against other dogs. However, at the conclusion of the show, when the winner is chosen for the Top Dog Category, dogs will compete outside the breed standard. Points are not taken off for the way the dog is handled.
The event is a fun day – one everyone enjoys. There is no charge to watch the show. Spectators are encouraged to see the best of the breeds in our area and support pet breeders.
